Lea Marlen is an actress and content creator. She graduated from the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding in Munich in 2011, and since then she has been in several theatre, TV and film productions. She has also recently been in streaming productions for platforms such as Netflix and Sky, amongst others.

When it comes to social media content, she focuses on themes like female empowerment and sustainable lifestyle, in keeping with the slogan “bring social back to media”.

Alongside her career, she is studying philosophy and film studies at Freie Universität Berlin and is also volunteering for Fairtrade Deutschland and the German Foundation for Young Adults with Cancer.

One of the Short Film Week sponsors once described Insa Wiese, born in 1978 in East Frisia, as a force of nature.

As a northern light, she definitely brings a breath of fresh air to the supposedly stuffy Bavaria and whirls like a tornado through the Bavarian festival landscape, whether as artistic director of the Kurzfilmwoche Regensburg, curator for short films at Underdox and 20minmax Ingolstadt, or even as a board member of the Association of Bavarian Film Festivals.
