PEOPLE IN MOTION

In a land without light, the sudden appearance of a strange, illuminated object causes a stir
among the inhabitants. The puppet animation tells a peculiar parable about the shortcomings of human behaviour, coming to the conclusion, that in a world full of egoism and greed there will be no winner.

Christoph Lauenstein, 20. 03. 1962.
Studied Visual Communication at HbK in Kassel, Professor Paul Driessen
Together with his twin brother Wolfgang Lauenstein he produces animated short films and animated commercials in their studio in Hamburg, Germany. They are specialized in handmade stop motion.
Their first animated short film BALANCE won an Academy Award. The brothers also create ideas and write screenplays for animated feature films.
