Lisa Wagner was born in Kaiserslautern in 1979. After graduating high school, she studied acting at the Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding in Munich from 1999 to 2003.
At the beginning of the second year of studying, she was engaged as the youngest member at the Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel Munich, where she was a member of the permanent ensemble until 2011.
Lisa Wagner made her cinema debut in 2006 in Ralf Westhoff’s speed dating comedy "Shoppen".
Followed by the munich crime series Tatort "Nie wieder frei sein" (director: Christian Zübert) for which she received the Grimme Prize and the Bavarian Television Award. In 2013 she was part of the ensemble of the popular series "Weissensee". Lisa Wagner received much attention in the year 2017 for her portrayal of Beate Zschäpe in "Letzte Ausfahrt Gera". 2019, she shot the feature film "Das Glaszimmer" (director: Christian Lerch) as well as the BR/ORF production "Ein schönes Schlamassel" directed by Wolfgang Murnberger. From 2012 – 2020 she was also known to a large audience as Inspector Winnie Heller in the ZDF crime series "Kommissarin Heller". In 2021, the cinema production "Freibad" (director: Doris Dörrie) and the mini-series "Die Wespe" (director: Hermine Huntgeburth) for Sky Deutschland followed.
