TARA AND THE BLUE
A Mediterranean coastal town: Tara (20) works on her father’s fisher boat and spends her afternoons smoking pot with her friends,listening to music and yearning for something to change her life. One day, her father’s boat stumbles across a delivery of cocaine. Tara wanders the streets of her hometown bidding farewell to the life she has known. She took a decision that will change her life forever.

Pol Ponsarnau (1980) is a catalan director and producer working and living between Berlin, Barcelona and México. BA+MA degree in Audiovisual Comunication at UPF, with a scholarship at FAMU (Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts) in Prague, Czech Rep. and Master’s degree in “Art, literature and contemporary culture” at UOC.
From 2004 to 2006 Pol works as postproduction manager for the advertising film company Arena Shots. From 2006 he works as freelance director and producer. In mid 2006 Pol created his own production company to produce music videos and facilitate experimental work.
From 2010 he lives and works in Berlin where he creates PolacosTV with Lukasz Polowczyk, a production company for music videos, online documentaries and web series with clients like Sony and Warner Music. Pol has an extensive career directing advertisting for brands like Audi, Bimbo or Apple.
From 2016 Pol works in narrative fiction projects and directs the awarded “Food, First“, that premiered in Dresden International Film Festival and was selected at 80+ international festivals. His new shorfilm “Tara and the Blue”, premiered at Abycine where it was awarded Best Shortfilm. He recently directed the TV series with Aljazeera starring actor Amr Waked, in postproduction.
