Juliette Blanche is an actress, writer, scriptwriter and director.
In search of her artistic freedom, Juliette experimented with several theatrical teaching methods while studying at university. She obtained a degree in Human Sciences with a specialization in Psychology at Paris X, then a double Master’s degree in Modern Letters at the Sorbonne Nouvelle and in Performing Arts at Roma 3 in Italy.
In 2014 she founded her company to create her own projects and wrote the autobiographical play Les Escargots sans leur coquille font la grimace in which she acts. The show was very well received by the public and the press, and was successively programmed in various theatres in Paris and at the Avignon Festival. The channel Canal + encouraged her to adapt it for the cinema. She then set off to initiate the development of the film with the Groupe-Ouest script support.
Aware of the very personal nature of her projects, she launched into directing with Love Me Tender, her first short film, which she produced entirely on her own. The film was selected in several international festivals and bought by the channel OCS. Her second short film, Petite Fille du soleil, produced by Milléas will be shot next spring. Orphans is currently in development.
On screen, she is Emma Mackey’s friend in Eiffel, due out on 13 October. In the theatre, she is currently working on the simultaneous revival of her first show with a new one where she will be alone on stage, Somebody, for 2022.
